Kendrick Nunn contributed 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, four 3-pointers and two turnovers through 31 minutes as a starter in Sunday's win over the Knicks.
Goran Dragic (ankle) joined Moe Harkless (thigh) and Avery Bradley (calf) on the sidelines today, which resulted in another start and extended minutes for Nunn. He was in a nice groove in this one, only missing twice through the first half of action, and he ended his evening on 6-of-11 shooting. As long as Dragic, Harkless and Bradley are out, Nunn should continue to flirt with 30 minutes as a starter, which is enough floor time for him to make a low-end impact in fantasy hoops.
Tyler Herro hit 7-of-13 shots for 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, two triples and two turnovers in 32 minutes off the bench during Sunday's win over the Knicks.
Herro has seen slightly fewer minutes while working with the second unit over the past few games, but the reserve role has also corresponded with an uptick in usage, so his stats haven’t changed all that much. The sixth man role likely isn’t going to be a permanent thing for Herro, but regardless of how he enters the game, he’s going to see plenty of opportunities as a key cog in Miami’s offense.
Duncan Robinson notched 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, four 3-pointers and one turnover across 36 minutes in Sunday's win over the Knicks.
Robinson came into today’s game connecting on just 27.8% of his shot attempts over the past two, but he got things back on track today, finishing 4-of-10 from the floor. He’ll give you plenty of 3-balls, but he won’t do much for you outside that one category.
James Johnson (left knee soreness) is questionable to play vs. the Wolves on Monday.
This comes from the Mavs' game notes and we're unlikely to know more until after Monday's shootaround. Johnson hasn't been in the rotation since Dallas started welcoming back players after health and safety protocols, particularly Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber, so his availability shouldn't matter in fantasy leagues.
Patrick Beverley (right knee soreness) won't play on Sunday but he did go through a pre-game warmup.
Bev was making half-speed cuts and shooting 3-pointers, which you can see via the link below. It's still unclear when he might return, but at least he's making enough progress to get in some non-contact work. His eventual return should bump Reggie Jackson back to a fantasy-fringe role off the bench.
Raul Neto (left groin strain) has been cleared to play Sunday vs. the Hornets.
While this news helps the Wizards from a depth standpoint, it won't have much of an impact when it comes to fantasy basketball. Neto isn't worth rostering so long as starting point guard Russell Westbrook and backup Ish Smith are healthy.
Cassius Winston has been transferred to the Erie BayHawks, the Wizards announced on Saturday.
Winston, who wasn't in the Wizards rotation on most nights, will get some valuable game experience in the G-League bubble in Orlando. With the Wizards not sending their affiliate to Florida, the rookie point guard will be playing with the Erie BayHawks.
Juwan Morgan (illness, non-COVID) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. Indiana.
With Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors both healthy, Morgan wasn't going to factor into the Jazz rotation if he were at full strength. He may be available Sunday afternoon, but there's no reason for fantasy managers to have Morgan rostered.
Seth Curry said after Saturday's win over the Nets that he was able to get a little of his "burst" back after missing time due to COVID-19.
Curry missed an extended period of time due to both COVID-19 and an ankle injury, and the process of getting back into game shape has been a difficult one. He was able to make some strides during Saturday's win, scoring 11 points (4-of-11 FGs) to go along with two rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes. "I was able to get a little bit of my burst back and have more energy out on the floor, offensively and defensively," Curry said. "I obviously didn’t shoot the ball and finish the way I’m used to and I want to." Curry's role as a perimeter shooter is a key one of Philadelphia, as he can provide the spacing that the 76ers lacked last season.
Sekou Doumbouya started on Saturday vs the Lakers but was quiet with just four points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal in 24 minutes.
Sekou got the start for Blake Griffin (rest) but was seemingly non-existent, going 1-of-7 from the floor and 0-of-5 from deep in the loss. Dwane Casey said two weeks ago that Doumbouya's opportunity for more minutes was "coming" and it was there tonight but he failed to deliver with Josh Jackson dropping 28 off the bench.
Josh Jackson logged 37 minutes off the bench on Saturday, scoring 28 points with eight boards, three assists, two steals and a block in the Pistons 135-129 double OT loss to the Lakers.
He hit a tough shot over Dennis Schroder at the end of regulation to force overtime. The game would eventually reach a second overtime but the Pistons came up short. Jackson continued his stellar play, however, knocking down 11-of-20 field goals and 5-of-10 triples. It was his fourth consecutive game with at least 11 points and two 3-pointers and if you're still contemplating picking him up, do it before it's too late.
Anthony Davis played a season-high 45 minutes on Saturday, scoring 30 points with five boards, three assists, one steal and two blocks.
Davis was questionable coming into Saturday's game and if he hadn't played, the Lakers probably would've lost. He notched his third 30-point game of the season, making 13-of-22 from the floor after scoring a season-low 13 points vs Denver on Thursday. It was a good bounce-back performance for AD who's scoring four points less per game this year than in 2019-20.
Dennis Schroder posted 22 points, eight assists and four rebounds in the Lakers 135-129 double-overtime win over the Pistons on Saturday night.
For the second straight game, Schroder hit 7-of-9 shots and went perfect from the line (8-of-8) and he now has 43 points, six rebounds and 12 assists in those contests. He failed to record any defensive stats again, but it's good to see him slowly start getting in a groove on offense after struggling in a handful of games in January. This month, he's averaging 18.5 points on 68% shooting and 100% at the charity stripe. All he has to do now is keep that going for the remainder of February and preferably, for the season. We're only partially joking.
Maxi Kleber tied a season-high scoring mark with 16 points on Saturday, adding eight rebounds and four assists in the win.
With the Mavs up one and less than 10 seconds remaining, Luka Doncic skipped the ball to Kleber in the corner and he splashed in a three to help the Mavs pick up a 134-132 win over the Dubs. The triple was Kleber's fourth of the night, tying a season-high in makes and scoring with the clutch basket. He shot 5-of-11 overall and didn't turn the ball over once in 32 minutes. A solid outing for the third-year forward.
Jerami Grant tied a season-high scoring effort with 32 points on Saturday, adding four boards, six dimes, two steals a block.
He shot 11-of-27 from the floor, 3-of-11 from deep and 7-of-7 from the line but the Pistons came up short in double overtime to the Lakers. Grant had a chance to win the game at the end of the first extra period but LeBron James played him well, forcing him into a tough shot and a miss. But it was still a big night for the Detroit forward who has made multiple threes in every game this year except the season-opener which is also the only game that he failed to score at least 10 points.
Delon Wright had one of his best games of the season on Saturday, posting 22 points, 10 assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Wright played a season-high 46 minutes in the Pistons double OT loss to the Lakers. But he had a solid night, hitting 8-of-10 shots and all four of his 3-pointers. It was the second time this year he dished out 10 assists, and with reports that Derrick Rose is on the trade block, Wright could be the team's primary point guard for the remainder of the 2021 campaign. He's sitting on 37% of Yahoo waivers and should be rostered in all leagues.
Kent Bazemore logged 23 minutes off the bench on Saturday, scoring a season-high 20 points with three rebounds, one assist and a steal.
Bazemore's previous season-high scoring mark was 10 points and he doubled that, hitting 7-of-11 shots, two triples and 4-of-4 free throws. It was definitely a one-off for Baze as he's only scored in double-figures twice now this year. If you happened to have played him tonight for whatever reason, congrats. If you're thinking about picking him because of this game, don't.
Draymond Green stuffed the stat sheet on Saturday night vs the Mavs, scoring two points with six rebounds, 15 assists, six steals and four blocks in 37 minutes.
For the second game in a row, Draymond handed out 15 assists against the Mavs, threading the needle on multiple occasions through the night. His six steals were a season-high for the former DPOY and so were the four blocks, and his 15 dimes came on a night in which Stephen Curry scored 57 points. Green is available in 16% of Yahoo leagues and we highly suggest picking him up, especially with James Wiseman and Kevon Looney sidelined.
Eric Bledsoe shot 7-of-15 from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies, finishing with 21 points, four rebounds, five assists and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes.
Bledsoe put together one of his best stat lines this season, as in addition to the numbers mentioned above he wasn’t charged with a single turnover. Still rostered in 81% of Yahoo leagues, Bledsoe is still well outside of the top-100 in both 8- and 9-cat formats. It’s way too early to rule the Pelicans out of the chase for a playoff spot, especially with seeds 7-10 set to take part in a play-in tournament ahead of the postseason. But if it were to ever reach that point, Bledsoe would likely lose minutes to the Pelicans’ younger guards (Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis Jr.).
Grayson Allen shot 3-of-9 from the field in Saturday’s loss to the Pelicans, posting a line of eight points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
Allen, who had been out of the lineup since January 18 due to health and safety protocols, was on a minutes restriction Saturday night. He didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, but that was to be expected. Allen doesn’t offer much in the way of fantasy value, especially with the restriction. Something to watch moving forward is the status of De’Anthony Melton, who left Saturday’s game in the fourth quarter with a left shoulder injury. A prolonged absence for him would mean one less player for Allen to compete with for bench minutes.
