Michael Carter-Williams started in place of Evan Fournier (back) again on Monday but missed all four of his shots, failed to score and played just 18 minutes in an easy win over the Cavs.
MCW hit just 2-of-11 shots for four points in Saturday's start and he's been a total bust if you took a flier on him in DFS. Fournier remains day-to-day and it's possible that MCW could start again in the next one, but he's awfully hard to trust right now. You can probably find a better option.
Steve Kerr said rookie Nico Mannion will be available to play on Monday, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
Kerr is rewarding Arizona point guard Mannion for his hard work in practice. We talking about practice? The Warriors head coach also said Juan Toscano-Anderson will be inactive because he’s got to watch Toscano-Anderson’s days since he’s on a two-way deal. We'll see if Mannion gets some minutes Monday.
LaMarcus Aldridge (left knee) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.
Aldridge has missed the Spurs last three games due to left knee soreness, but Tuesday morning's shoot around should let us know if the veteran big will suit up vs LAC. If not, Rudy Gay and Jakob Poetl will likely see more minutes again.
Nerlens Noel (sprained left ankle) won't play against the Hawks on Monday.
Mysteriously, he wasn't on the injury report and the announcement wasn't made until the end of the first quarter of the game. Maybe he got hurt in warmups, but either way, we won't see him tonight as he'll miss his first game of the season.
Dante Exum went down just after tip off with a right lower-leg injury and hobbled off the court on one leg on Monday night.
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this was a non-contact injury and it appeared that he thought someone clipped his ankle by the way he looked behind him before going down. This has all the appearances of an Achilles injury but it's obviously too early to tell. Hopefully it's not something so serious and Exum will be OK. If he's unable to return it should mean even more minutes for Collin Sexton and Damyean Dotson with Darius Garland out for the night.
Jaylen Nowell (soleus strain) is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Nuggets.
Nowell is yet to play in a game this season, and doesn't appear to be part of the rotation anyway.
Rodney Hood is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Bulls due to a quad strain.
Hood left the Blazers' game on Friday with what was thought to be cramping, then missed Sunday's game with a strain, and is now questionable on Tuesday. Hood's absence would free up minutes for Gary Trent Jr. to continue launching from deep, though he made just 1-of-6 on Sunday.
Wenyen Gabriel (knee) is active on Monday against the Pacers.
It's great news that Gabriel is available for the first time this season, but he is't projected to be part of the Pels rotation. Leave him on the waiver wire.
Luka Doncic's (bruised left quad) status has been upgraded to probable for Monday vs. Houston.
Just as we suspected, this means the Mavericks more than likely just rested Luka on the front end of this back-to-back. He's nowhere close to 100% in terms of conditioning, so maybe the Mavs continue to give him the occasional DNP-rest as a precaution. Jalen Brunson, who went off for 31 points on Sunday, should fall back to earth with Luka back in the mix.
Tremont Waters will start in place of Marcus Smart (thumb) on Monday night against the Raptors.
It's a surprise that Waters, who's only played nine minutes this season across two games, is getting the start over Payton Pritchard. Waters has scored four points with three assists in two steals. Pritchard is undoubtedly the better fantasy option.
Josh Okogie (left hamstring) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.
He's missed the past three games, but this is the first time he's been hit with the questionable-tag since going down with the injury. We should get another update following tomorrow's shootaround, but if he is able to get back out there, Juancho Hernangomez would likely return to the second unit. Stay tuned.
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said he'll play Stanley Johnson over Matt Thomas and Terence Davis on Monday.
Nurse explained that he was going to play Johnson because he needed size on the wing, and because Matt Thomas and Terence Davis were both making too many mistakes. Johnson's played just 48 minutes over four games this season, and scored a total of seven points with 13 rebounds, three assists and one steal. He's made just 1-of-5 3-pointers. For now, he should be kept on the wire, though it's worth monitoring his play.
Sindarius Thornwell (COVID-protocol) will not play on Monday vs. the Pacers.
Now we know why he was unavailable for Saturday's game, but he's a non-factor in the rotation, anyway.
Jabari Parker won't play against the Warriors on Monday due to personal reasons.
Parker is yet to play a game this season due to back soreness, and now he'll miss time for personal reasons. We'll wait and see what his role is when he returns to the lineup.
Ben McLemore is not being listed on the injury report for Monday's matchup with the Mavericks.
McLemore has completed his quarantine and will be available tonight, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll get out there, considering he's been away from the team since Dec. 23. If he does play, it'll likely be for limited minutes, so we wouldn't view him as a viable target anywhere.
Ty Jerome won't play on Monday against the Heat with a left ankle sprain.
Jerome hasn't played a game yet for the Thunder, but even when he returns, he's unlikely to be an impactful fantasy player.
Derrick Favors won't play against the Nets on Monday because of right knee soreness.
Favors is a serviceable backup for the Jazz, but a low-impact fantasy player whose absence shouldn't change much.
Dennis Smith Jr. won't play on Monday against the Hawks due to a left quad contusion.
Smith Jr. has only appeared in one game this season, and shouldn't be rostered given the Knicks' rotation of Immanuel Quickley, Alec Burks, Austin Rivers and Frank Ntilikina.
Omari Spellman won't play on Monday against the Hawks due to a sore right knee.
Spellman has no timetable for return, and at this point isn't projected rotation minutes.
Rajon Rondo (knee) is questionable to play on Monday against the Knicks.
Rondo's likely headed for a game-time decision call against the Knicks. If he does play, he'll likely lead the Hawks' second unit. In two games so far this season, he's notched 14 assists (though he went scoreless in the second game.) If he can't give it a go, expect Brandon Goodwin to get more run. Kevin Huerter, who is playing after being listed as questionable, should have added opportunities, too.
