Players News

Reggie Bullock hit 6-of-13 shots and five 3-pointers for a season-high 17 points with seven rebounds in a win over the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Bullock saw added opportunities with Alec Burks sidelined due to a sprained ankle, and he capitalized on them. It’s unclear how long Burks will sit out, but while he's down, Tom Thibodeau is likely to go back to Bullock — who played a season-high 41 minutes on Tuesday — again. Bullock won’t produce in many categories, but a hot hand could be useful for fantasy managers.

Replacing Kevin Love in the starting lineup, Larry Nance Jr. hit just 4-of-11 shots, one 3-pointer and took no free throws for nine points, six rebounds and three assists in a loss to the Knicks on Tuesday.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Nance had a much better game against the Sixers on Sunday, where he caught fire from range, connecting on 3-of-4 shots, so the expectations were high on him to produce with both Isaac Okoro and Kevin Love sidelined. Still, he contributed a bit in every category, including four steals and two blocks. Nance isn’t a reliable fantasy option, even with the two other forwards missing time.

Tobias Harris recorded a double-double on Tuesday night, posting 26 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Harris played 38 minutes against the Raptors, making 11-of-20 shots and 2-of-5 triples in the win. The 26 points is a season high for Harris, who could end up being the Sixers second leading scorer behind Joel Embiid this year if he continues to attack the rim and shoot midrange jumpers rather than just settle for threes. Keep him your lineups at all times.

Victor Oladipo hit 10-of-18 shots, two 3-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws for 24 points, six rebounds and six assists in a loss to the Celtics on Tuesday.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Oladipo’s looked great in every game this season, and Tuesday was no different, coming off multiple days rest due to sitting out a back-to-back. Sure, the rest games sting for fantasy managers, but he’s looked like pre-injury Oladipo so far this season, so it'd be great to keep him that way.

Myles Turner hit 5-of-9 shots, three 3-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws for a season-high 16 points and six rebounds in a loss to the Celtics on Tuesday.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Turner’s had a slow start to the season, but showed more life on Tuesday. It was the first game this season he shot better than 50% from the field, and he made three 3-pointers after only making one in his first three games.

Payton Pritchard hit 4-of-8 shots and 2-of-3 free throws for 10 points, five assists and five rebounds in a win against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Dec 29   10:00 PM

Pritchard continues to be a huge surprise this season, even playing heavy fourth-quarter minutes and closing out the final seconds of the game on Tuesday. He outplayed Jeff Teague for the lead backup point guard role, seeing 27 minutes to his 19. If Pritchard is somehow still available, fantasy managers should pick him up until Kemba Walker returns.

Jontay Porter (right knee soreness) and Killian Tillie (strained right hamstring) are listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Neither player will be in the rotation on a consistent basis when healthy, so Porter and Tillie missing another game won't have an impact fantasy-wise.

Justise Winslow (left hip) and Xavier Tillman (left patellar tendinitis) are listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Winslow is still recovering from the left hip displacement that he suffered while in the bubble, and he has yet to appear in a game since being traded to Memphis from Miami. His return, if it occurs soon, would give Memphis an additional playmaker with Ja Morant (ankle) due to miss the next 3-5 weeks. Tillman has yet to play in an NBA game, and it will take some time until he's ready to carve out a rotation role for himself. He isn't worth using an IL spot on.

De'Anthony Melton (medical protocols) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Melton will miss a third straight game due to the league's protocols regarding COVID-19. With Tyus Jones due to take on an expanded role with Ja Morant (ankle) sidelined, John Konchar has moved into the rotation for the time being.

Gary Trent (right calf strain) is questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. Clippers.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Trent Jr. is coming off a fantastic performance vs. the Lakers, in which he scored 28 points and had opposing coach Frank Vogel refer to him as the difference in the game. Hopefully the calf injury is minor enough that he'll play through it, but we'll know more after Portland's shootaround on Wednesday.

Nassir Little won't play against the Clippers on Wednesday due to health and safety protocols.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Carmelo Anthony is likely to return on Wednesday, but Little, who hasn't played a game yet this season, continues to sit out. You can leave him on the waiver wire.

DaQuan Jeffries (back soreness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Jeffries isn't a consistent rotation player when healthy, so this news has no impact fantasy-wise.

Bradley Beal (head) was taken back to the locker room during the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Bulls.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Beal collided with Russell Westbrook after attempting a shot around the basket. And after taking his two free throws, Beal walked back to the locker room under his own power. He is now in concussion protocol, with it yet to be determined if he'll return to Tuesday's game. Raul Neto has replaced Beal in the lineup.

JaMychal Green (left calf) should return "in the very near future," according to Nuggets coach Mike Malone.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Green won't play on Tuesday but he's been "ramping up" his activity. It's unclear if he's taking contact in practices, but either way Malone's quote makes it sound like Friday's game vs. Phoenix is a realistic possibility. His return could bump P.J. Dozier from the rotation.

Updating a previous report, Joel Embiid (right leg injury) has returned to Tuesday's game.

Dec 29   9:00 PM

Embiid is back in the game after momentarily exiting after his right leg collided with Pascal Siakam's leg when he turned into a triple threat position. He was initially grabbing his right quad area and retreated to the locker room but is back on the court now.

Onyeka Okongwu (foot) and Tony Snell (foot) are participating in 3-on-3s.

Dec 29   6:54 PM

Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce said they've been cleared to practice in contact drills, but will have to gradually progress to 5-on-5s, according to AJC's Sarah K. Spencer. Neither the rookie or Snell should be fantasy-relevant immediately after they return.

Thaddeus Young (leg) will be available to play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Dec 29   6:54 PM

Young will likely have some minutes restrictions in his regular-season debut, so while he'll be available tonight, he's still not a great DFS target despite Lauri Markkanen (leg) being listed as questionable. Young wasn't worth rostering last year, and that's unlikely to change this season.

Al Horford is resting the second game of a back-to-back on Tuesday against the Magic, but according to Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, it "remains to be seen" whether that'll happen all season.

Dec 29   6:54 PM

The Thunder's next back-to-back doesn't come until January 12 and 13, so OKC has time to work out a plan. Daigeneault said on Tuesday, “remains to be seen but we’ve had success (with Gallinari), according to Daily Thunder's Brandon Rahbar. "It’s certainly not us dictating to Al, we’ve had conversations with him. We’re going to have him on a plan this year to have him play at a high level all season.” Fantasy managers should sit tight to see who might make sense to pick up if Horford will be resting with some regularity.

Ty Jerome (ankle) will not suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the Magic.

Dec 29   6:54 PM

Jerome may have been able to get into the rotation today with George Hill (neck) unavailable, but instead, he'll be joining Hill in watching from the sidelines. We're not expecting Jerome to be a relevant name in fantasy hoops this season.

DaQuan Jeffries is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Nuggets with a sore back.

Dec 29   6:54 PM

Jeffries has no fantasy-relevance, even if he is active.
