Saben Lee (two-way contract) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Per the NBA rules for this season, players on two-way deals can be active for up to 50 games. Lee, who was also inactive for the regular season opener, isn't a worthwhile fantasy option in any league.
Ty Jerome (left ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hornets.
Jerome won't be available for Oklahoma City's regular season opener, and even if he were the second-year point guard isn't a worthwhile fantasy target.
Garrison Mathews and Cassius Winston have been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Both Mathews and Winston are on two-way contracts, and per NBA rules those players can be active for up to 50 games this season. Even when available to play, neither is a worthwhile option in any fantasy format.
Quinndary Weatherspoon (left knee surgery) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Raptors.
No specific timeline has been given as to when Weatherspoon, who's on a two-way contract, will be medically cleared to play. Once made available, he won't be a worthwhile fantasy option give San Antonio's surplus of young wings.
Jarrett Allen swatted four shots in 21 minutes off the bench on Christmas, adding nine points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one turnover in an easy win over the Celtics.
JA again saw more minutes than DeAndre Jordan despite DJ getting the start, but this was also the second straight blowout win for Brooklyn, so it's a little tough to judge Steve Nash's rotations at the moment. Jordan finished with four points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one turnover in 19 minutes, and for now, it looks like both these guys will be able to maintain some low-end value while sharing minutes at the center-spot.
Spencer Dinwiddie had an okay game on Christmas with six points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 29 minutes.
Dinwiddie is basically the fifth option in the first unit, and he tends to do a lot of standing and watching as he awaits 3-point kick outs on the perimeter. The defensive stats tonight were nice, but that's rarely a part of Dinwiddie's game. For those who have Kyrie Irving on their roster, Dinwiddie is a necessary insurance policy, but he’s not going to do much for you statistically while the Nets are at full health.
Marcus Smart came through with 13 points, three triples, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and one turnover in 32 minutes on Christmas.
Smart attempted just three shots (missing all of them) in Boston’s season opener, but he doubled that total by halftime in today’s game and finished 4-of-12 from the field (2-of-2 FT). He’s going to be starting at point guard for the Celtics until Kemba Walker (knee) gets back, so he should be able to flirt with around six dimes a night to go with plenty of defensive stats.
According to ESPN's Eric Woodyard, the Pistons will sign Frank Jackson to a two-way contract.
Jackson, who began his NBA career with the Pelicans, was waived by the Thunder just before the start of the regular season. He's unlikely to be much of a factor in the Pistons rotation, so there's no need to grab him off the waiver wire.
Daniel Theis didn't do much through 23 minutes as a starter on Christmas, contributing just two points, five rebounds, three assists and one turnover in a blowout loss to the Nets.
Theis has started alongside Tristan Thompson at the power forward spot in Boston’s first two games of the season, but he hasn’t done much while he’s been out there with averages of 6.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and zero blocks a night. He’s not worth rostering in most 12-team leagues.
Jeff Teague was scoreless in 21 minutes off the bench on Christmas, finishing with just one rebound, two assists, one steal and two turnovers to his credit in a blowout loss to the Nets.
After looking great in the opener, Teague was the opposite tonight, and he was severely outplayed by the rookie, Payton Pritchard. If Teague looks like this again on Sunday vs. Indiana, we wouldn’t blame you for cutting him.
Payton Pritchard hit 3-of-5 shots on his way to seven points, two rebounds, one 3-pointer, one assist, two steals and three turnovers in 25 minutes off the bench on Christmas.
Pritchard saw just 13 minutes off the bench in Boston’s season opener, but he was a lot more involved in the rotation tonight, which may have had something to do with how badly Jeff Teague was struggling. Still, he looked great while he was out there and we heard a lot of nice things about him during training camp, so he’s on the radar in deep leagues, as he'll have plenty of opportunities until Kemba Walker (knee) gets back.
Eric Gordon (COVID-protocol) will not be available for Saturday's game in Portland.
It's unclear how long Gordon's quarantine period will last, but Houstons will only have nine players available tomorrow night, so expect a big stat line from James Harden.
Ben McLemore (Not With Team - Self-Isolating) will not play vs. the Blazers on Saturday.
He doesn't have a timetable to return but we'd expect him to miss at least another week. The Rockets will barely have eight players available this weekend.
KJ Martin (COVID-protocol) and Mason Jones (COVID-protocol) will not play on Saturday vs. Portland.
Even when these two are cleared to play, they'll likely be on the outside looking in with regards to the rotation.
Rajon Rondo (COVID-protocol) will not play on Saturday vs. Memphis.
It's still not clear how much more time Rondo will miss. With Kris Dunn (knee) still out, Brandon Goodwin is likely to get a handful of backup PG reps.
Brandon Goodwin (elbow) is questionable to play on Saturday vs. Memphis.
He played through the injury in the opener, so we wouldn't be surprised to see him do it again tomorrow. He doesn't have any fantasy appeal, though.
Dante Exum (hip) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
Exum sat out Cleveland's season opener, but it looks like there's a chance he'll be able to make his debut tomorrow night. We'll have a better idea where he's at following tomorrow's shootaround, but if he is able to give it a go, he'll be someone to monitor in deep leagues.
Kevin Love (right calf) is questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Pistons.
Love sat out Wednesday's season opener, and it's unclear if he's been able to practice since then, but we'll have a better idea on his status following tomorrow's shootaround. If he's out again, there will be more minutes available for Isaac Okoro. Stay tuned.
Kevin Porter Jr. (personal) will not suit up for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
It's unclear when he'll be able to return to the team, but if you drafted him in a deep league, you might as well hang on because he shouldn't be out for too much longer. Damyean Dotson should remain in the rotation until KPJ gets back.
Kelly Oubre couldn't throw it into the ocean on Christmas Day, hitting 1-of-10 from the field for three points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes.
It's hard to imagine a worse start to the season for both Oubre and Andrew Wiggins -- both players are a combined 14-of-58 from the field through two games. The Warriors should be getting Draymond Green back over the weekend to help stabilize things and Oubre was a top-50 player in 9-cat last season, so this looks like a textbook buy-low opportunity.
