Players News

Kyle Kuzma came off the bench and hit 5-of-16 shots and 1-of-9 3-pointers for 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 23 minutes of Monday's overtime win against the Thunder.

Feb 09   1:33 AM

Markieff Morris got a gift start in an effort to keep him active and part of the rotation but Kuzma is the guy you'll want to target on nights when Anthony Davis (Achilles) isn't playing.

Montrezl Harrell came off the bench and hit 9-of-14 shots and 3-of-3 free throws for 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block in 30 minutes of Monday's 119-112 overtime win against the Thunder.

Feb 09   1:33 AM

Anthony Davis sat this one out with a minor Achilles injury and Harrell saw big minutes and made the most of them. He had just seven points in his last game and hadn't scored this many points since he had 21 back on Jan. 13, so look for him to take a step back in the next one if Davis is back.

E'Twaun Moore started for Chris Paul (hamstring) on Monday and hit 7-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for a season-high 17 points, one rebound, four assists, two steals and a block in a win over the Cavaliers.

Feb 09   1:16 AM

Moore hasn't done much this season and hasn't been playing a lot for Phoenix, but saw a season-high 40 minutes in the start for Paul. It doesn't sound like Paul's injury is serious so this could be a flash in the pan performance for Moore. But if Paul does miss more games, Moore looks like a decent DFS option.

Jakob Poeltl was a beast against the Warriors on Monday, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in the win.

Feb 09   1:16 AM

After posting just two points without a field goal on Saturday, Poeltl hit 7-of-9 shots and scored all of his points in the paint. He has 22 rebounds in his last two games and has blocked four shots in two of his last three, which is what the Spurs need him for, to anchor their defense. But if he can score 10-15 a night, he's worth holding onto until LaMarcus Aldridge is back.

Devin Booker hit 14-of-27 shots and five 3-pointers for 36 points, five rebounds and eight assists in 35 minutes of Monday's 119-113 win over the Cavaliers.

Feb 09   1:16 AM

Booker had 18 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists in his previous game and he saw some more dime opportunities with Chris Paul (hamstring) in street clothes for this one. Booker's having a fun February and the Suns have won three straight games and six of their last seven, so Booker will need to keep it going if the Suns are going to keep winning games.

Derrick White struggled to score on Monday, managing just two points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Feb 09   1:16 AM

White missed 10 of 11 field-goal attempts and all five of his 3-pointers in what was easily his worst game of the season. He's been a little inconsistent since returning from his toe injury and it will be hard for to get in a rhythm as Gregg Popovich said pregame that "He can't play back-to-backs," meaning White will be for Tuesday's game vs these same Warriors. If Lonnie Walker IV (illness) is out again, looking for Patty Mills to get some extra reps with rookie Devin Vassell as a darkhorse candidate to get the start.

Al Horford returned from a day of rest on Saturday and had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-20 shooting in Monday's loss to the Lakers.

Feb 09   1:16 AM

This was one of the worst shooting lines you'll ever see out of Horford and the poor shooting crushed his fantasy line. He was coming off a line of 26 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, three steals and three 3-pointers and has been filling the stat sheet in February. Hopefully his next rest day isn't coming soon, but the Thunder do have a back-to-back next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 16 & 17.

Deandre Ayton hit 7-of-11 shots for 15 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.

Feb 09   12:42 AM

Ayton had a nice night against the Cavs' new twin-towers starting lineup of Jarrett Allen and Andre Drummond. That makes back-to-back double-doubles for Ayton after he scored just eight points last Friday and he's now logged double-digit rebounds in 12 straight games. He also has a block in all five of his February games and the streaking Suns have won three straight games and six of their last seven.

Stephen Curry scored a game-high 32 points on Monday, adding seven rebounds, six assists and a steal in the Warriors' 105-100 loss.

Feb 09   12:26 AM

Curry followed up a 57-point game by knocking down 10-of-17 field goals, 6-of-11 triples and 6-of-6 free throws in 36 minutes. After the game, Steve Kerr was asked about Curry's minutes and said, "...we're not throwing Steph out there for 40 minutes to chase wins. We got another game tomorrow. We want Steph to be playing at a high level for many years. So we're going to stay disciplined and try to keep him at the 34, 35-minute mark."

Cedi Osman came off the bench and played just 15 minutes, hitting 1-of-6 shots (0-for-4 from downtown) for two points, two rebounds and one assist in Monday's loss to the Suns.

Feb 09   12:26 AM

Osman, who was starting earlier in the season, has been relegated to a bench role and is now behind Taurean Prince on the depth chart. He's scored in single digits in three of his last four games, has hit just 16-of-48 shots in February and Jarrett Allen is now starting alongside Andre Drummond. If you've been on the fence about dropping Osman, this is your sign to do just that.

Collin Sexton hit 10-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 23 points, two rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes of Monday's loss to Phoenix.

Feb 09   12:26 AM

This was his best shooting night in some time, as he had hit just 13-of-35 shots over his previous two games. This was his first game without a steal in his last four and the return of Darius Garland hasn't negatively impacted him thus far. Keep rolling him out there and hope he continues to shoot it this well going forward.

Luka Doncic hit 9-of-22 shots, 1-of-7 3-pointers and 7-of-9 free throws for 26 points, eight rebounds, five assists, a steal and seven turnovers in Monday's win over the Wolves.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

Not his best night, by a long shot, but he still filled up the stat sheet in a quiet game. This was his second straight game with seven turnovers, which is annoying, while it was interesting to see the Mavs pull him five minutes into the game in hopes of tweaking the rotation to win more games. Whatever the Mavs are doing appears to be working, as the Mavs have won three of their last four games and Luka still logged his standard 37 minutes tonight. Wednesday should be fun when the Mavs face Trae Young and the Hawks for the second time in two weeks.

Kelly Oubre shot the ball well on Monday vs. the Spurs, finishing with 24 points, four boards, an assist and two blocks.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

Oubre hit 9-of-16 field goals, 4-of-8 triples and 2-of-3 free throws in 36 minutes. Over his last four games, he's scored 24, 14, 40 and 12 with 14 made 3-pointers. The points have been a bit up-and-down but he's been more consistent with his shooting as of late after struggling tremendously to start the season.

Tim Hardaway Jr. hit 9-of-15 shots and four 3-pointers for 24 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench against the Wolves on Monday.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

This was a far cry from his last blurb when he hit just 1-of-5 shots for two points, but he's been rock solid ever since. He's scored in double figures in six straight games and came into this one averaging 17.5 points, 1.0 steals and 3.8 3-pointers in February and all of those numbers are going up after this one. He's not the most exciting fantasy player to have on your roster, but he usually comes through with solid scoring and decent production, making him a nice glue guy for the middle of your roster.

Draymond Green finished Monday's 105-100 loss to the Spurs with eight points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and two blocks.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

With the Warriors down three and 8.7 seconds left, the ball was inbounded to Draymond who was anticipating a foul from Derrick White and threw up a prayer only to not get fouled, brick the three and lose the game (video below). It was certainly not one of his brightest moments, and Green has a really high basketball IQ, but he still finished with an 8/10/10/1/2 fantasy line and has now blocked eight shots over his last four games along with nine steals and a whopping 47 helpers.

Jarrett Allen started alongside Andre Drummond for the first time this season and hit 5-of-7 shots and 4-of-5 free throws for 14 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 34 minutes of Monday's 119-113 loss to the Suns.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

Drummond had 15 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks and it's tough to tell how this experiment is going to turn out if the Cavs keep starting them together going forward. But clearly, both big men would be better off in terms of fantasy (and probably reality) if they weren't competing with each other for every board and every point. Stay tuned.

Juan Toscano-Anderson had a solid night with eight points, 11 rebounds and two assists on Monday against the Spurs.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

JTA grabbed a season-high 11 boards and now has 21 over his last two games. He also hit 4-of-6 shots but failed to make a three for the second straight contest. If you're been thinking about grabbing him off waivers, he'll be a good source for rebounds and high-percentage looks but won't contribute much aside from that.

Taurean Prince came off the bench and hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points, six rebounds, one assist and a block in 25 minutes on Monday.

Feb 09   12:10 AM

Prince flirted with a starting job briefly but Jarrett Allen got the nod tonight with Larry Nance out indefinitely after hand surgery. Prince appears to have passed Cedi Osman on the depth chart and looks like the better player to hold if you've been torn. Prince has scored in double digits in three straight games but if he's not starting for the Cavs, he probably shouldn't be starting for your fantasy team.

Daniel Gafford chipped in across the board on Monday, scoring 10 points with five boards, two assists, a steal and two blocks.

Feb 08   11:49 PM

Gafford only played 15 minutes on Monday after picking up his fifth foul early in the third period. It was a shame too because he had been playing really well, going 4-of-4 from the field and 2-of-2 at the line and now has seven blocks over his last four contests. But with the news that Lauri Markkanen is set to miss some time, Gaff could be in store for more minutes in the Bulls depleted front court.

Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 35 points, six assists, two rebounds and a steal on Monday but they came up short, losing 105-101 to the Wizards.

Feb 08   11:49 PM

LaVine tied Bradley Beal for a game-high 35 points, making 12-of-26 field goals, three triples and 8-of-11 free throws. It was the second time this year he's scored 35+ in back-to-back games and since the month began, he's averaging 27.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.3 triples a night.
