Hassan Whiteside (left hip) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Knicks.
He's missed the past three games, but whether or not he's cleared for tomorrow's game won't matter much, as he's only averaging 12.8 minutes a night.
Marvin Bagley (sore left wrist) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Knicks.
He'll be out there, and if Hassan Whiteside (hip) is again watching from the sidelines, that'll help Bagley flirt with 30 minutes. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tomorrow's tip.
Anthony Davis will start on Thursday against the Bucks.
Davis is constantly on the injury report, but there was little doubt he wouldn't be playing in this one. The Lakers' undefeated road record is on the line against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is starting on Thursday against the Bucks.
KCP is often listed as probable ahead of games, and this was another example. Expect the usual workload for the No. 103 player in 9-cat leagues.
Austin Rivers won't play on Thursday against the Warriors due to a sore right Achilles.
The good news for the Knicks is that Alec Burks is returning on Thursday, but for fantasy managers, that means Rivers' value will go down exponentially. Even when he returns to the lineup, Rivers won't be worth rostering.
Josh Jackson is probable to play against the Rockets on Friday.
Jackson is likely to play through a left quadriceps contusion, though he isn't a very valuable fantasy contributor to this point. After a hot start to the season, Jackson is averaging just 8.6 points, 1.4 assists, 1.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.3 made 3-pointers in the month of January. He doesn't rank inside the top-175 player in 9-cat leagues.
Mo Bamba remains out due to health protocols and won't play on Friday.
He would need an injury to a teammate, like Nikola Vucevic, to be worth rostering in most leagues this season.
Mike Scott won't play on Friday against the Celtics due to knee swelling.
Scott hasn't played in a week, but that hasn't mattered for the Sixers as much with Joel Embiid back in the lineup. Scott's role in the rotation will be limited going forward.
Cam Reddish is questionable for Friday's game against Minnesota due to a right knee injury.
Reddish and De'Andre Hunter missed Wednesday game against the Pistons and that allowed Trae Young, John Collins and Clint Capela to all go nuclear. If you roster any of those guys you should probably hope that Reddish takes easy for another game or two.
De'Andre Hunter is questionable for Friday's game against Minnesota with a sore right knee.
He missed Wednesday's meeting with the Pistons and watched his healthy teammates go off in a comeback win. Both Hunter and Reddish feel like game-time decisions for now, but hopefully we'll know for sure whether they're playing after shootaround tomorrow.
Quinndary Weatherspoon is questionable to play on Friday against the Mavericks on Friday.
Weatherspoon is recovering from offseason knee injury, but his status shouldn't make an impact for fantasy managers. He hasn't appeared in a game yet this season.
Josh Okogie is listed as probable (again) for Friday's game against the Hawks due to a left hamstring injury.
He was also listed as probable for Wednesday's game for the same ailment and he had 11 points, six boards, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in 25 minutes. If he did that every night his ownership in Yahoo! leagues would be a lot higher than the 1 percent it currently sits at.
Luka Samanic (sore throat) is no longer on the injury report for Friday.
Samanic does not play a role for the Spurs, so his status is meaningless for fantasy purposes.
Drew Eubanks won't play against the Mavericks on Friday due to COVID protocol.
Eubanks is out of the rotation, and his absence won't mean anything for fantasy managers.
Ricky Rubio will miss Friday's game due to health and safety protocols.
Rubio's been in the protocol since Jan. 14 and today marks the seven-day period, so we're guessing he'll be out another three to seven days. In other words, we'll let you know when you might see him again.
Keita Bates-Diop is off the injury report for the Spurs' game against the Timberwolves.
Bates-Diop has played just two minutes this season, and his return won't change anything for fantasy purposes.
Dwane Casey said Svi Mykhailiuk, Sekou Doumbouya, and Saddiq Bey's fluctuating minutes are connected to situations, not production.
The 3-11 Pistons are rebuilding and constantly tweaking their rotations, which has resulted in erratic minutes for Mykhailiuk, Doumbouya, and Bey especially. It seems Casey will evaluate matchups to determine which of the three will play longer minutes each game. "So many guys need development and need minutes and you can't play them all," Casey said. This is an important note for fantasy managers who may be eager to pick up someone like Mykhailiuk after a hot shooting night. But Mykhailiuk played just two minutes the game after scoring 18 points in 18 minutes just days ago. Great play won't guarantee extended minutes going forward. All three players can be left on the waiver wire.
Carsen Ewards (health protocols) has been ruled out for Friday.
Unless you're in a 30-team league, this doesn't matter. And even if you are in a 30-team league, it still probably doesn't have fantasy impacts.
Aaron Nesmith (back) is questionable for Friday's game.
He's appeared in five games with averages of 13 minutes and 2.6 points per game.
Kevin Porter Jr. (personal) won't play on Friday.
He's played his last game for Cleveland after a recent outburst and the Cavs are just hoping to trade him before they have to cut him. Consider him out indefinitely until he finds a new team.
