C.J. McCollum hit 10-of-23 shots, 6-of-16 3-pointers and 2-of-4 free throws for 28 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in Wednesday's comeback win over the Kings.

Jan 14   1:26 AM

The Blazers tied a franchise record with 23 3-pointers on the night and McCollum and Damian Lillard became the first teammates in NBA history to each have 25 points, 10 assists and five triples in the same game. The Blazers are now 7-4 on the season and while they might not win it all (or they might), they're one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in the league.

The Sacramento Kings blew a 20-point lead against the Blazers on Wednesday but De'Aaron Fox had 29 points, six rebounds, six assists, a steal and five 3-pointers on 9-of-18 shooting in the loss.

Jan 14   1:26 AM

Luke Walton doesn't seem concerned about the Kings blowing leads and it's probably just part of the growing process against better teams. "It's not a lack of effort out there," he said. "Sometimes it's just going against good players. We understand we gotta get better...the type of effort we are getting from our guys is what's important." The Kings are just 5-7 on the season but Fox, Buddy Hield, Richaun Holmes and Tyrese Haliburton are just starting to warm up. And they're just patiently waiting for Marvin Bagley to join the party. But then again, aren't we all?

D'Angelo Russell scored 25 points on 10-of-21 shooting Wednesday, to go with two triples, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and five turnovers across 36 minutes in a loss to the Grizzlies.

Jan 13   11:54 PM

Malik Beasley also joined the 20-plus-point club in the loss with 28 points (11-of-23 FG, 2-of-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists, four 3-pointers, one steal, one block and one turnover, and with D'Lo, Beasley and Karl-Anthony Towns all scoring at least 25 points, they became the first trio of Wolves to accomplish that feat since Derrick Rose, Robert Covington and KAT did it back in 2018. Unfortunately, the Wolves couldn't get the win, but luckily, Ws aren't a category in fantasy hoops.

Juancho Hernangomez was held to just five points on 2-of-7 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies.

Jan 13   11:54 PM

Hernangomez added eight rebounds and one 3-pointer while he was out there, but this was his third straight single-digit performance. With Karl-Anthony Towns back from the wrist injury, Hernangomez isn't going to get enough usage to make an impact in most leagues.

Naz Reid saw just 14 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies and he finished with nine points, three rebounds, one 3-pointer and two turnovers.

Jan 13   11:54 PM

Reid's minutes have evaporated with Karl-Anthony Towns back in the rotation, and if he's only averaging minutes in the teens, he's not going to be able to bring enough to the box score to warrant a roster spot in most 12-team leagues.

Brandon Clarke put up 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals over 34 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves.

Jan 13   11:38 PM

Clarke got his points efficiently, going 9-of-15 from the field and he also finished the game without a single turnover. He's been in a nice groove over the past five games with averages of 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 swats and just 0.8 turnovers per contest on 51.4% shooting in 31.1 minutes a night. This is probably as good as it gets for Clarke, as his minutes and production will likely take a hit once Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) is eventually added into the mix, so fantasy managers may want to test his market value while he's doing this.

De'Anthony Melton hit 7-of-12 shots for 15 points, one 3-pointer, one rebound, four assists, two steals, one block and just one turnover across 25 minutes in Wednesday's comeback win over the Timberwolves.

Jan 13   11:38 PM

This was a nice bounce-back performance from Melton after Monday's eight-point dud, so he could be worth a look in deep leagues for fantasy managers seeking a low-end source of dimes and defensive stats. Tyus Jones struggled with his shot a bit in the win, going 4-of-12 from the field for nine points, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one turnover in 28 minutes. As long as Ja Morant (ankle) is on the sidelines, these two will have some low-end value in deep leagues.

John Konchar (ankle) did not leave the bench during Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves.

Jan 13   11:38 PM

He was available, but it looks like he's not going to be a major part of the rotation moving forward.

Taj Gibson picked up a DNP-CD in Wednesday's loss to the Nets.

Jan 13   11:17 PM

Tom Thibodeau's beloved power forward was just recently added to the Knicks, but he still likely needs to get his conditioning up to speed before he's logging rotation minutes. It's possible he'll simply be an emergency depth guy on the roster, which is what he'd be on most teams, but that's far from guaranteed given Thibs history. We don't expect him to be a fantasy factor at all, but it's possible he could mess with Mitchell Robinson's minutes at some point.

Isaiah Roby started for Al Horford (rest) on Wednesday and hit 4-of-7 shots for 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes of an ugly loss to the Lakers.

Jan 13   10:51 PM

Horford will be back for the next one but Darius Bazley went down with a sprained right ankle tonight and is day-to-day. If Bazley is out on Friday against the Bulls, Roby could see some decent run again and might make for an intriguing DFS play.

RJ Barrett scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting Wednesday, to go with five rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer across 38 minutes in a loss to the Nets.

Jan 13   10:51 PM

Barrett got off to a brutal start in this one, finishing the first half with just one point while missing all five of his shot attempts, but he flipped the script after halftime and also finished 5-of-6 from the line without committing a single turnover. He's been in a brutal shooting funk for most of the season, connecting on just 37.2% of his shot attempts, but maybe tonight's semi-efficient game is a sign that he's ready to right the ship.

Obi Toppin (calf) saw just 57 seconds of floor time in his return to action on Wednesday and he finished without any statistics.

Jan 13   10:51 PM

Tom Thibodeau said he wanted to get Toppin into the game, but he didn't like the matchup and decided to pull him early because he still hasn't practiced. We don't see Toppin being much of a fantasy factor his rookie year, as long as Thibs is at the helm in New York.

Josh Jackson hit 4-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 11 points, one rebound, three assists and a steal in 25 minutes.

Jan 13   10:35 PM

Saddiq Bey has really been pushing Jackson, but JJ played five more minutes than Bey tonight and had a better stat line. Bey had 10 points, two rebounds and two 3-pointers and it looks like these two are locked into a timeshare for the foreseeable future. And that's not great news for either player.

Bruce Brown had a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double across 30 minutes as a starter in Wednesday's win over the Knicks.

Jan 13   10:35 PM

The boards accounted for a new career-high for Brown, and he added two assists and two turnovers while he was out there, finishing 6-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-4 from the line. It was a solid stat line for Brown, but he'll be a negligible factor in fantasy hoops once James Harden is added to the mix and Kyrie Irving (personal) returns from whatever it is that he's doing. Landry Shamet put up 13 points, three triples, one rebound, five assists and one turnover in 23 minutes off the bench, but he too could be headed for DNP-CDs once the new Nets come together.

Joe Harris scored 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting Wednesday, to go with three 3-pointers, two rebounds and three assists over 26 minutes.

Jan 13   10:35 PM

As an added bonus for those in 9-cat leagues, Harris finished this game without a single turnover, but his value figures to take a decent-sized hit once James Harden is added to the equation. We wouldn't prematurely drop Harris given that he's producing top-70 value on the season, but if his numbers plummet once the superstars enter the rotation, then we wouldn't hesitate to cut him.

Immanuel Quickley came off the bench for 19 points (7-of-15 FG, 2-of-3 FT), three triples, two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover across 22 minutes in a loss to the Nets.

Jan 13   10:35 PM

Quickley saw 29 minutes off the bench in Monday's blowout loss, so it was good to see him remain a key guy in the rotation in what was a much tighter game tonight. Elfrid Payton was objectively awful with seven points (3-of-11 FG), six rebounds, one 3-pointer, four assists and two turnovers in his 33 minutes of floor time, so it'll be interesting to see if Quickley can eventually replace him in the first unit. The odds are against him given that he's playing for Tom Thibodeau, but he's done enough over the past two to warrant some attention in deep leagues.

Anthony Davis played despite minor back, toe and groin issues on Wednesday and had 18 points, seven rebounds, one assist and nothing else on 8-of-13 shooting in 25 minutes.

Jan 13   10:35 PM

The good news is that he's been playing through all these annoying minor injuries and was able to go in tonight's second game of a back-to-back. He didn't do much, but should enjoy Thursday's day of rest and come back ready to explode against his former team, the Pelicans, on Friday. If there was ever a revenge-game scenario to look forward to from a fantasy perspective, it's this one. Hopefully he doesn't get too hyped up and lay an egg.

Jrue Holiday went off for 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals, a block, three 3-pointers and just one turnover in Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

Jan 13   10:12 PM

He hit 8-of-13 shots and this line is similar to what he's been doing on most nights. Even though you don't hear too much about Holiday in the shadow of Giannis and Khris Middleton, he currently sits as the No. 22 player in fantasy hoops, according to Basketballmonster.com.

Jeff Green hit 4-of-6 shots for 11 points, three 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and one steal through 32 minutes as a starter in Wednesday's win over the Knicks.

Jan 13   10:12 PM

With the departure of Jarrett Allen and Nicolas Claxton (knee) still not close to a return, Green could see a bump in minutes either starting or backing up DeAndre Jordan at the five-spot. He's inconsistent and doesn't offer much upside, but the moving pieces of Wednesday's blockbuster trade may have opened up enough minutes for him to have some low-end value in 16-team leagues.

Delon Wright's tumultuous fantasy season continued on Wednesday when he hit 1-of-10 shots for three points, a season-high eight rebounds, a season-high seven assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer.

Jan 13   10:12 PM

Wright has been one of the most frustrating and perplexing fantasy players this season and he probably pushed some of you to the brink with this one. At least he put ups some stats in every category tonight, but the shot just wasn't there. Scoring-wise he's had three good games this season when he scored 19, 18 and 16 points. The first two came in games 2 & 3 of the season and provided promise and hope and then he abruptly scored in single digits in seven of his next eight games. He could easily put it all together and get it going at some point this season, and has a great opportunity with Killian Hayes injured and Derrick Rose always gimpy, but he's just not getting it done.
