Players News

Mike Conley had a solid game on Sunday with 22 points, five boards, six dimes and two swipes in 30 minutes.

Jan 10   6:45 PM

Conley shot 8-of-13 the floor, made two triples and all four of his free throws in Utah's 96-86 win over the Pistons. It was one of his better games of the season and his second-highest scoring output this far. He currently yields a 24% usage rate and is 61st in 9-cat.

Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points on Sunday, hitting 9-of-18 field goal attempts, 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and 6-of-7 at the line.

Jan 10   6:45 PM

Mitchell has now scored over 25 points in three of the last four games, shaking off his rough start to the season. He only had two rebounds and three assists which matched season lows, but he did have a block and made 50% of his shots for the second straight game. This is the Donovan Mitchell fantasy managers want to see on a daily basis.

Michael Carter-Williams (left foot) is out on Monday vs the Bucks.

Jan 10   6:28 PM

MCW is dealing with a sprained left foot and is one of a few Magic guards (Markelle Fultz, ACL) and Evan Fournier (back) who are banged up. There will be opportunity for him to play when he returns, but we don't know when that will be yet.

Royce O'Neale failed to score on Sunday vs the Pistons, finishing with eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in 33 minutes.

Jan 10   6:28 PM

O'Neal only attempted two shots in the game, so it's not like he had an off shooting night, the volume just wasn't there and it won't be on a team that features guys like Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic.

Meyers Leonard (left shoulder strain) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Sixers.

Jan 10   6:11 PM

Leonard injured his shoulder late in Saturday's win over the Wizards, but the postponement of Sunday's Heat-Celtics game played into his favor. Kelly Olynyk and Precious Achiuwa are both ahead of him in the pecking order at center, so there was no need to roster Leonard even before the injury.

Kelly Olynyk (left groin contusion) was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Celtics.

Jan 10   6:11 PM

Olynyk started and played 32 minutes in Saturday's win over the Wizards. The second game of the back-to-back was postponed, but if he's still ailing and unable to play on Tuesday, Precious Achiuwa would have the most to gain from a fantasy standpoint. Moe Harkless could also move back into the rotation after picking up a DNP-CD Saturday night.

Evan Fournier (back spasms) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Bucks.

Jan 10   6:11 PM

After sitting out on Saturday night, Fournier has now missed five consecutive games for Orlando as he deals with back spasms. James Ennis has been starting in Fournier's place, though he hasn't done much with the opportunity.

Cameron Payne (right ankle) is doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Wizards.

Jan 10   6:11 PM

Payne has been an effective table-setter for the second unit, but he's just a cheap source of assists in typical fantasy leagues. His absence shifts a few minutes to Jevon Carter and Langston Galloway.

Rudy Gobert played 34 minutes on Sunday, ending with four points, 20 rebounds and four blocks in the win.

Jan 10   5:54 PM

The four points were a season low for Gobert who shot 1-of-6 from the floor and 2-of-6 at the line. On the flip side, the 20 boards were a season high and he's now blocked more than four shots in each of Jazz's last three games. So there's some bad and some good, but we'd like to see Gobert be involved in the offense a bit more consistently. Back-up center Derrick Favors played half as much as Gobert but scored six points on 3-of-7 shooting.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (left ankle) will start vs. the Rockets on Sunday.

Jan 10   5:54 PM

KCP has missed four games with the ankle ailment, but he's ready to go and there's no mention of a minute limit, either. His return bumps Wes Matthews from the starting lineup, but KCP's return doesn't have a big fantasy impact since he's just a fringe option in most 12-team leagues.

Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce said on Sunday that Onyeka Okongwu (left foot inflammation) could be available to play within the next week or so, though he will not play on Monday.

Jan 10   5:31 PM

Okongwu, who was Atlanta's first-round pick in the draft, has yet to appear in a game due to his foot injury. While both he and Tony Snell (right foot) have made steady progress in their respective recoveries, neither is ready for game action just yet. Given the amount of time that he's missed, Okongwu is highly unlikely to be an impact fantasy option once cleared to play in games.

Bruno Fernando (left hip) is probable for Monday's game against the Sixers.

Jan 10   5:31 PM

Fernando was available to play on Saturday but received a DNP-CD so even if he's active on Monday, he doesn't hold any fantasy value at the moment.

Mike Scott (knee) has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game against the Hawks.

Jan 10   5:31 PM

The Sixers are extremely shorthanded right now as Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and a million others remain sidelined because of league health and safety protocols. Although Joel Embiid (back) is expected to play. But there's minutes up for grabs and Scott could play a big role until Philly is healthy. Give him a look in deep leagues.

Josh Okogie (left hamstring) is listed as questionable for the Wolves meeting with the Spurs on Sunday.

Jan 10   5:15 PM

Okogie will be a game-time decision for the Wolves who will be without Karl-Anthony Towns (left wrist) who is out. If Okogie can't go, Jarrett Culver will have another opportunity to showcase his game, although Malik Beasley and Anthony Edwards will play more prominent roles.

Mike Muscala (bruised ribs) will play on Sunday as the Thunder face the Nets.

Jan 10   5:15 PM

Mark Daigneault said Muscala will be available to play tonight. The big man is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 rebounds this season for OKC.

Frank Ntilikina (sprained right knee) isn't likely to be re-examined for a week, according to coach Tom Thibodeau.

Jan 10   5:15 PM

Ntilikina has missed five straight games and it sounds like that will stretch to 10 games before his status even gets updated. Elfrid Payton is locked into the starting role and rookie Immanuel Quickley has impressed Thibodeau, so there's no obvious path to value for Ntilikina even when he's healthy.

Kevin Huerter (sore left ankle) is probable for Monday's game vs. Philly.

Jan 10   5:15 PM

Drew Eubanks (health and safety protocols) has been ruled out vs. the Wolves on Sunday.

Jan 10   4:59 PM

Garrett Temple will join the starting unit on Sunday for the Bulls with Otto Porter Jr. sidelined due to back spasms.

Jan 10   3:46 PM

OPJ had been starting for Lauri Markkanen (health and safety protocols) and Temple will now make his first start of the season with Porter unavailable to play. He might be worth streaming, although the matchup against the Clippers is a tough one. Tread with caution.

Chandler Hutchinson will return to the Bulls 'soon,' according to head coach Billy Donovan.

Jan 10   3:25 PM

On Sunday Donovan told reporters, "There was a period of time that I think he [Hutchinson] was really struggling with the way he felt. I think he's doing a lot better now." The Bulls forward tested positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 31 and will return to the team in the near future, though there's no exact date just yet.
