Tyler Johnson (health and safety protocols) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder.
Johnson was also ruled out for Friday's game in Memphis, so he may have to miss a couple more games before being cleared to return. He wasn't much of a fantasy option when cleared, so don't expect much to change with the veteran guard sidelined. Bruce Brown will have one less person to compete with for rotation minutes.
Derrick Favors (right knee soreness) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
Favors was listed as probable ahead of Friday's game in Milwaukee, and ultimately played 23 minutes. Expect a similar workload for the veteran center (who backs up Rudy Gobert) Sunday afternoon. At best, Favors is deep-league insurance for Gobert.
Danny Green hit just 4-of-17 shots, 2-of-7 3-pointers and 1-of-3 free throws for 11 points, five assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block with three turnovers in a loss to the Nuggets.
Green was questionable to play with health and safety concerns after teammate Seth Curry tested positive for COVID on Friday, but he was cleared on Saturday morning to give it a go. Green didn’t shoot well, but his veteran presence was needed next to mostly rookies left on the Sixers roster. Green did add two steals and one block, which should make fantasy managers happy.
Juwan Morgan (health and safety protocols) and Jarrell Brantley (not with team) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
Neither one stands to be a consistent rotation player once cleared, so their absences won't have an impact.
Nikola Jokic hit 6-of-8 shots and 3-of-3 free throws for 15 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds with four turnovers in a win over the short-handed Sixers.
The No. 3 player in 9-cat leagues had another nice night against an extremely under-manned Sixers team, which had just seven players available due to medical protocols and injuries. His numbers were stunted by limited play-time given the lopsidedness of this game, though he nearly triple-doubled. He’s still struggling to control the ball (he turned it over four times in 29 minutes).
Andrew Wiggins is probable "but there’s a chance he might not play," on Sunday against the Raptors with a bruised quad, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
Kerr hedged a true "probable" listing for Wiggins, and we might find more information out on game day. He sat out of practice on Saturday, but Wiggins did play through the injury on Friday night. If he can't give it a go, expect more run for Kent Bazemore, who does not rank in the top-200 in 9-cat leagues.
Ben McLemore (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game vs the Lakers.
Stephen Silas said McLemore tweaked his ankle Friday night in his season debut and didn't participate in the Rockets practice Saturday morning. McLemore hit five threes in just 16 minutes against the Magic. Consider him a game-time decision for Sunday.
Danuel House (back) will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday when the Rockets face the Lakers.
With House set to miss yet another game, David Nwaba, Eric Gordon and Sterling Brown should get more action. Jae'Sean Tate played 15 minutes Friday night, too, notching 10 points on 5-of-5 shooting in that span.
Tony Snell (right foot) is available to play on Saturday vs the Hornets.
Snell could make his season debut on Saturday against the Hornets after being sidelined due to a right foot injury. He can be left on waivers for the time being.
Mike Muscala (bruised ribs) is probable to suit up on Sunday vs the Nets.
Muscala will avoid missing any games, as he's likely to play Sunday against Brooklyn. He left Friday's game and didn't return so this is a good sign for the Thunder.
Jalen Smith (COVID protocol) is out on Saturday vs the Pacers.
Smith continues to miss time after first battling an ankle injury and now awaiting to clear health and safety protocols.
Aaron Gordon (left hamstring) was not on the injury report on Saturday and will play against the Mavs.
Gordon will return for an Orlando group that, like much of the league, has been battling injuries and health protocols. The Magic are hopeful that AG will be able to suit up every night moving forward, including back-to-backs. He's averaging 17 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes a night this season
Cole Anthony (right quad contusion) is probable to play on Saturday vs the Mavericks.
Anthony was listed on the Magic's morning injury report but it's looking like he will suit up tonight. Coach Clifford said prior to Friday's game that his rookie point guard wasn't ready to play the same minutes as Markelle Fultz (ACL), and that we was already feeling fatigued after 32 minutes on Wednesday night. What does that mean? While Anthony will likely play Saturday, he's still adapting to the physical play of the NBA, which is fine considering he was just drafted in November. Give him time...Anthony will be playing a lot this season.
Cameron Payne (right ankle) will miss Saturday's game vs the Pacers, according to Duane Rankin of AZ Central.
Payne is out against Indiana as he deals with a right ankle sprain. He had 10 assists on Wednesday night, tying a career high, but he doesn't play and contribute consistently right now to provide fantasy relevance.
Mo Bamba (mild back strain) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Mavs, reports Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel.
Bamba appears to be fine, as he's officially listed as probable for today's contest against the Mavericks. He left Friday's game with a few minutes remaining after feeling some back pain, finishing with 12 points, seven rebounds and a couple triples in just 13 minutes. If he plays, he'll look to build off his best performance of the season.
Evan Fournier (back spasms) is listed as questionable for the Magic's meeting with the Mavs on Saturday, per the Orlando Sentinel's Roy Parry.
Fournier will likely be a game-time decision for the Magic today as he hopes to avoid missing his fifth game in a row with back spasms. Orlando is 2-2 without him but could use him after losing Markelle Fultz (ACL) for the season.
Matisse Thybulle (COVID protocol) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup with the Nuggets, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Thybulle is ineligible to play after being linked to Seth Curry (positive test) through contact tracing. He will be forced to quarantine for a minimum of seven days or a maximum of 14 days if he registers a positive, too. Tobias Harris, Shake Milton and Vincent Poirier will also be temporarily sidelined.
Collin Sexton (left ankle sprain) did not participate in the Cavs' Saturday morning shootaround, according to The Athletic's Kelsey Russo.
Vincent Poirier will be subject to the league's quarantine period due to health and safety protocols.
Poirier wasn't part of the Sixers' rotation so his absence will go unnoted by the majority of fantasy managers.
The NBA has reportedly had "discussion" about expanding from 30 teams, according to an unnamed member of the Board of Governors.
League commissioner Adam Silver said in season-opening remarks that the NBA could "dust off" analyses about expansion, a concession to the financial impact of COVID-19. The concern is that adding teams will dilute the talent pool, while decreasing competitive balance, though one of the league's governors said that fear was overblown. “Developing, evaluating, coaching, mental and physical wellness and the professionalism of NBA players has evolved so much since the last expansion," he said. If teams are eventually added, Seattle seems likely to top the list of host cities -- Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan said a recent talk with Silver left her "pretty optimistic."
