Dillon Brooks hit 9-of-19 shots and two 3-pointers for 24 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in Monday's 116-11 win over the Nets in overtime on Monday.
Brooks' shot selection can be scary at times and he hit just 8-of-23 shots in his previous game. The 24 points are a season high for Brooks and he's scored at least 16 points in all three games this season. He's also racking up 3-pointers, steals, rebounds and assists on a nightly basis and if you can handle the inconsistent shooting, he'll put up some nice numbers for your fantasy team. He also hasn't missed a free throw this season (5-of-5) and his usage will go up if Ja Morant (left ankle) is going to miss time with his injury.
Brandon Clarke hit 6-of-11 shots, a 3-pointer and 3-of-7 free throws for a season-high 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in Monday's win over the Nets.
Clarke looked better tonight than he did in his previous two games and was a productive fantasy play if you used him. He'll take a hit once Jaren Jackson Jr. is ready to go, but showed some promise tonight. He's not a must-have player right now, but could be if he keeps this up for the rest of the week.
Josh Jackson started for the Pistons on Monday, posting 27 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.
Jackson took advantage of Blake Griffin (rest) being out of the lineup with his impressive performance. He shot 11-of-17 on FGs and 3-of-7 from deep and is now averaging 17.3 points in the first three games of the season. He might be worth picking up in deeper leagues if he keeps this going, especially if Griffin continues to sit in back-to-backs.
Jarrett Allen came off the bench to hit 3-of-6 shots and 2-of-3 free throws for eight points, a season-high 15 rebounds and no blocks in just 22 minutes of Monday's overtime loss to the Grizzlies.
DeAndre Jordan started, played 30 minutes and finished with four points, nine rebounds, five assists and four blocks, but we'd really like to see what Allen could do if the minutes distribution were reversed. We may not find out any time soon, but Allen is the center with upside here and we'd just like to see him get more run.
Delon Wright came off the bench on Monday night, scoring 18 points and adding five rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 22 minutes.
After starting the last game, Wright played a reserve role Monday for the Pistons with Derrick Rose (rest) out but it didn't phase him. He had a stat line of 18/5/4/2 in 22 minutes off the pine after going for 19/6/4/1 in his last outing. A couple of nice games for the veteran are enough to at least add him to your watch list in deeper leagues, especially if Rose sitting in back-to-backs becomes the norm.
Chris Chiozza hit 5-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers to tie his career high with 14 points and four assists in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday.
He helped fill in for the absence of Kyrie Irving, who was resting, while Caris LeVert ran the point with the first unit. Chiozza didn't shoot it well but did make an impact, but Irving is going to be back for the next one. There's no reason to move on Chiozza.
Jamal Murray took a brutal shot to the head from the chest of Jae'Sean Tate late in the third quarter on Monday and may be being evaluated for a concussion.
Murray walked off under his own power and laid down on a bench halfway to the locker room and we're guessing he's back there now being evaluated for a concussion. If he's not able to return Monte Morris would take over at point guard and would be the pick up if Murray is going to miss time. Stay tuned for more updates soon. Murray had 18 points and four 3-pointers in 19 minutes before leaving.
Sekou Doumbouya was quiet in his return from a foot injury, scoring just two points in 10 minutes in the lost to the Hawks.
Doumbouya (foot) played just 10 minutes in his return to the court and never really had a chance to contribute much as he took just three shots. Hopefully the foot isn't bothering Sekou anymore and he can get more minutes. Though it will be tough because this Pistons teams is loaded with forwards.
Mike Conley hit 8-of-15 shot and two 3-pointers for 20 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, a steal, a block and just two turnovers in 32 minutes of Monday's 110-109 win over the Thunder.
He's struggled at times in Utah but looks like he's going to have a good season. And based on where you probably took him in your fantasy draft (late), he's got a good chance to be a fantasy steal this year. Donovan Mitchell, who hit just 8-of-23 shots and scored 20 points, hit a floater for the game-winner with seven seconds left in the game.
Rajon Rondo played 15 minutes in his regular-season Hawks debut, posting 12 points and eight assists in the win.
Rondo picked up right where he left on in the bubble: playing good basketball. The point guard had 12 points, eight assists, zero turnovers and two triples in his Hawks debut. He will lead the team's second unit this season and brings a veteran presence and championship experience to a young Hawks group looking to make the playoffs for the first time in a few years. Rondo might be worth streaming in standard leagues and is worth an add in deeper leagues as we can likely count on him for 8-12 points and 5-8 assists a game.
Darius Bazley played 33 minutes and hit 3-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for nine points, 11 rebounds and a block in a tough loss to the Jazz.
He was outshined by Lu Dort and his career-high 26 points, and a fun stat line from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. And while Bazley has yet to catch fire and post a monster line, we think it's coming. Through two games he's averaging 12 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 3-pointers. Bazley should be on your radar and is worth a flier, as he's got the tools to be a fantasy monster. He just hasn't shown it yet in his two games.
John Collins attempted just seven shots on Monday night, recording 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block in the Hawks victory.
The good news for Collins' fantasy managers: he played more minutes (26) than Clint Capela (20) The bad news: he played only 26 minutes despite Danilo Gallinari (foot) not suiting up. Collins' ADP in Yahoo leagues was 24.6 so if you drafted him, you have a right to be concerned with his slow start and lack of FGA through three games. But chill because it's only been three games. He will likely be the team's small-ball center and will benefit from the addition of Rajon Rondo this season. Let's give him a little time.
George Hill started again and hit 5-of-13 shots and was 0-for-4 from downtown for 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 25 minutes on Monday.
He scored 21 points in the opener and is suddenly worth some attention in fantasyland. He's not the most exciting player and you have to think that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Darius Bazley and Lu Dort will be the guys to roster in fantasy in OKC, but Hill has played well enough in the first two games to be given some consideration.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hit 9-of-21 shots, 1-of-7 3-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws for 23 points, three rebounds, seven assists, a steal, a block and four turnovers in Monday's tough 110-109 loss to the Jazz.
SGA filled up the stat sheet with small numbers and couldn't get his 3-pointers to fall tonight. But he's averaging 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 0.5 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers on 17-of-41 shooting through two games. His 3-pointers will start falling and fantasy managers should prepare to sit back and watch the numbers roll in. SGA is basically playing to his floor thus far, and we're OK with that.
Ja Morant appeared to suffer a significant left ankle injury in Monday's game against the Nets, but Woj reported that X-rays revealed no fracture.
He hopped off the court, writhed on the floor in pain and then was taken straight to the locker room in a wheel chair. Morant would return to the bench but was wearing a boot on his left ankle, per Shams. At this point we just have to hope the injury wasn't as bad as it appeared to be on television. Tyus Jones looks like the next man up but it's too early for a speculative grab unless you're in a deeper league. Kyle Anderson would be the safer play as he's now logged back-to-back 20-plus point games. Here's to hoping Morant's injury isn't serious, but this doesn't look good.
Alex Caruso will out for Monday night's game against the Blazers because of the league's health and safety protocols, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Caruso will miss the Lakers western conference playoffs rematch with the Blazers as he sits due to the league's healthy and safety protocols. He's had a quiet season so far because of the depth of this new LA team and thus doesn't have any fantasy value.
Shaq Harrison (hand) will be available to play on Monday vs. the Thunder.
He's not in the rotation, so his playing status is irrelevant.
Derrick Favors (knee) is available for Monday's matchup with Oklahoma City.
Favors will see minutes in the teens operating as Rudy Gobert's backup this season, which isn't enough floor time for him to produce in most 12-team leagues.
Furkan Korkmaz suffered a left adductor (groin) strain on Sunday and will be reevaluated in two weeks.
He was averaging 18 minutes, 6.0 points and 2.0 rebounds so he this isn't a fantasy blow, but he was playing a nice role for the Sixers. We'll know more about his status once his two-week hiatus is over.
Danilo Gallinari (foot) will be a game-time decision for Monday's matchup with the Pistons.
Gallinari will go through his pregame routine and see how he feels before an official decision is made, but if he is cleared, he'll likely be coming off the bench today with Clint Capela (Achilles) active. Check back closer to tip-off for official confirmation on his status.
