Yogi Ferrell made his debut for the Cavs on Tuesday, netting 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and two triples in 24 minutes.
The Cavs were playing without Collin Sexton, Darius Garland and Andre Drummond on Tuesday, hence why they got blown out by the Jazz 117-87. They brought in Ferrell because their back court is so banged up and he had a decent game, making 4-of-12 shots and committing zero turnovers in 24 minutes. He's only on 10-day contract, but if Garland is out for another week or two and Ferrell plays well, there's a chance he could get another 10-day deal. Sexton could likely return in the Cavs next game which isn't until Friday.
Isaiah Roby (hand) was taken to the locker room during Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
Roby has yet to return to the game since injuring his hand during the first half, and a return doesn't appear to be in the cards. We'll have an update once more information is made available.
Cameron Payne (right ankle) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Payne has been out for a while now, and it doesn't appear likely that he will be able to go Wednesday night. His absence has freed up additional minutes for Jevon Carter and Langston Galloway, but neither is a must-play in any fantasy format.
Jalen Smith (COVID protocol) remains out and will miss the Suns meeting with the Hawks on Wednesday.
Smith will miss another game in his rookie season as he awaits to clear the league's health and safety protocols.
Reggie Bullock (right hip soreness) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Bullock missed Monday's game in Charlotte, and it doesn't appear likely that he will able to return Wednesday night. If that's the case, expect Austin Rivers to make another start alongside Elfrid Payton and RJ Barrett. Rivers, one of the Knicks' few dependable perimeter shooters, should already be rostered in standard leagues.
Taj Gibson (health and safety protocols) is available to play in Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Gibson signed his deal with the Knicks on Thursday, but there were COVID-19 protocols for him to go through before he could be cleared to play. The veteran big man has completed the protocols, so he will be available Wednesday night. Don't expect him to supplant Nerlens Noel as the backup center just yet, as he still needs to shake off the rust that comes with not having played in a competitive game since March.
John Konchar (left ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.
Konchar has missed Memphis' last four games, which freed up additional minutes for De'Anthony Melton and Desmond Bane. Don't expect much from Konchar when it comes to fantasy value if he's cleared to play.
J.J. Redick (right hamstring tightness) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
Just when Redick snaps out of his slump, he has another injury to deal with. The good news is that he's listed as probable, so expect the veteran guard to slot into his usual reserve role. Redick isn't worth calling upon as a points and 3-pointers option just yet, but he's capable of going on a hot streak.
Ivica Zubac (abdominal soreness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
The Clippers added Zubac to the latest injury report noting that he dealing with abdominal pain. Consider him a game-time decision for now and except Serge Ibaka and Marcus Morris to get more minutes if Zu can't play.
Josh Okogie (left hamstring strain) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.
Okogie played 20 minutes in his return to action Sunday night, so his minutes limit may increase slightly if he's available to play Wednesday night. That being said, his value to the Timberwolves rotation as a rugged wing defender outweighs his fantasy value. He can be left on the waiver wire for now.
Juwan Morgan (COVID-protocol) will not play Tuesday vs. Cleveland.
He's been out for a week, so he might be close to clearing quarantine, but he's a non-factor in the rotation when healthy.
T.J. McConnell (personal) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors.
It'll be his second game on the sidelines, which should result in some extra minutes for Aaron Holiday.
Ben Simmons (knee) will be available to play on Tuesday vs. the Heat.
Simmons will be returning from a two-game absence, and with him back in action, Tyrese Maxey could take a minor hit while Dakota Mathias will likely return to the second unit. Isaiah Joe could also lose some minutes with Simmons back in the mix.
Tyler Johnson (COVID-protocol) is expected to miss another two games for the Nets.
When a player is listed as "out" due to "health and safety protocols" that generally means the player will miss at least a week. Johnson will not play tonight and he'll likely miss Wednesday's game as well, but there's a chance he'll be able to get back out there on Saturday vs. Orlando.
Meyers Leonard (shoulder) will not suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the 76ers.
With Leonard joining Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Bam Adebayo, Moe Harkless, Udonis Haslem and KZ Okpala on the inactive list for tonight's game, the Heat will only have eight total players available. Erik Spoelstra said he wasn't sure if Leonard would be able to play in Thursday's rematch with Philly, so the shoulder issue could cost him multiple games.
Moe Wagner (COVID-protocol) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Utah.
Wagner saw 22 minutes off the bench on Monday in Washington's first game without Thomas Bryant (knee), so if he can't give it a go tomorrow night, Anzejs Pasceniks should be able to get into the rotation, while Robin Lopez and Davis Bertans would be slated for big minutes. Check back closer to tomorrow's tip for another update on Wagner.
Warriors rookie Nico Mannion is expected to join the Santa Cruz Warriors when the G League begins their season in the Orlando bubble in February.
"Nico, in particular, could really use a stretch of just playing 30-plus minutes every single night,” coach Steve Kerr said. “He just hasn’t had a chance to play much ... I think it’s especially valuable for Nico and that would be the plan." If you were stashing him in a deep league, in the hopes that he'd emerge as a rotation player, it might be time to move on.
Wolves president Gersson Rosas conceded that the power forward position "is probably one of the areas where we have the most questions right now."
Juancho Hernangomez hasn't wowed anyone as a starter this season, an experiment with Jake Layman at PF didn't pan out, and Jarred Vanderbilt is still learning on the job. Rosas said he's "trying to improve and get better and address our needs," which suggests he's exploring the trade market for a starting-caliber power forward, but for now it's a position that offers minimal 12-team fantasy appeal with a rotating cast of low-usage guys.
Devin Vassell (sore left knee) is available for Tuesday's game vs. OKC.
The Spurs rookie got hurt on Sunday but it recovered enough that his status is no longer in doubt. He's averaging just 3.9 points on 37.1% shooting through nine games, though, so his availability doesn't matter for most fantasy GMs.
Victor Oladipo (right knee injury management) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Golden State.
Beat writer Scott Agness notes, "[Oladipo] has not played in both games of a back-to-back since his injury (Jan. 2019)." He logged 37 minutes on Monday, coming away with a terrific game that included 21 points and six steals, so there's a good chance Indy plays it safe here. We'll know more once the next official injury report is released at 5:30 ET.
