Rajon Rondo dished out six dimes in a spot-start on Sunday, adding seven points, four rebounds, one steal and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Jan 24   10:31 PM

Rondo did okay in a spot-start tonight, but Trae Young only missed today's game with a back issue, so Rondo could be returning to his reserve role on Tuesday vs. the Clippers. At best, he's nothing more than a low-end assist-specialist in 16-team leagues.

Taurean Prince hit 3-of-9 shots and 2-of-5 3-pointers for nine points, five assists, one rebound, three steals, one block, and one turnover in a loss to the Celtics on Sunday.

Jan 24   10:31 PM

Prince provided a decent line in this lopsided game, logging a season-best three steals. Adding a block and two 3-pointers was nice, too. Prince ranks No. 162 of all players in 9-cat leagues.

Isaac Bonga hit 3-of-10 shots and 1-of-4 3-pointers for seven points, one assist, seven rebounds, one steal, and one block with no turnovers in a loss to the Spurs.

Jan 24   10:31 PM

With Rui Hachimura, Deni Avdija and Davis Bertans all still sidelined due to protocol, Bonga got the start on Sunday, and put together an OK game. He ran 33 minutes, and saw 10 shots from the field, though he only made three. Bonga might be an OK DFS option until the rest of the Wizards' group returns.

Carsen Edwards hit 7-of-12 shots, 2-of-6 3-pointers, and 2-of-3 free throws for 18 points, one assist, five rebounds, and one steal, with no turnovers in a 141-103 win over the Cavaliers.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Edwards wasn't part of the regular rotation and hadn't played since January 6th, but came back from medical protocols for his best game of the season. Thanks to Jaylen Brown's first-half domination against Cleveland, Edwards saw a season-high 19 minutes and ran with them. Don't expect this to happen often, but it was nice to see what the scoring guard is capable of.

Gary Clark went 4-of-7 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the line on his way to 14 points in a spot-start on Sunday.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Clark added four triples, four rebounds and two assists in his 35 minutes of floor time, but he'll likely be returning to a limited role with the second unit in Monday's rematch, as Aaron Gordon's (hip/back) absence today seemed largely precautionary. It was a nice game for Clark, but we wouldn't rush to the waiver wire to grab him.

James Ennis registered eight points, five rebounds, two 3-pointers, two assists, two steals, one block and one turnover across 22 minutes in Sunday's loss to Charlotte.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Ennis played some solid defense and he led the team in plus/minus today with a plus-10 rating. However, with averages of just 4.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and not much else on the year, he's not worth rostering in most leagues. Terrence Ross came off the bench for 10 points (4-of-8 FG), two triples, two rebounds, three assists and one turnover across 30 minutes, but his inconsistency makes him more of a deep league, 3-point specialist.

Marcus Smart hit 5-of-8 shots, 1-of-2 3-pointers, and 1-of-2 free throws for 12 points, nine assists, five steals, and one block with two turnovers in a 141-103 win over the Cavaliers.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Smart's five steals were a season-best, and he did it in just 27 minutes. The Celtics picked the Cavaliers apart in dominating fashion, and Smart was a big reason why. Smart ranks just outside the top-100 in 9-cat leagues, sitting at No. 107. But big defensive statistic nights like this will raise his ceiling.

Cole Anthony scored 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting Sunday to go with six assists, five rebounds, two 3-pointers, one steal, one block and two turnovers in 33 minutes.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Anthony took a while to get going when he was abruptly inserted into the starting lineup following Markelle Fultz season-ending knee injury, but he’s been in a nice groove over the past three games, connecting on 52% of his shots to go with averages of 12.0 points, 2.0 triples, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.0 block and 1.5 turnovers per game. If he was recently cut in your league, go ahead and pick him back up.

Collin Sexton hit 3-of-8 shots, 0-of-1 3-pointers, and 7-of-7 free throws for 13 points, two assists, two rebounds, and six turnovers in a loss to the Celtics.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Sexton only played 16 minutes in this blowout of a game for Cleveland. After a stretch where he scored 67 points in two games, he only scored 13 on three made shots on Sunday. This was Sexton's worse game of the season, and the only one he logged less than 20 points in. Fantasy managers have no reason to worry. This game is an outlier for the Alabama guard.

Darius Garland hit just 1-of-9 shots, 0-of-5 3-pointers, and 1-of-1 free throws for four points, five assists, two rebounds, and one block with two turnovers in a loss to the Celtics.

Jan 24   10:01 PM

Garland's second game back from a shoulder injury went just as poorly as his first. He made just one out of nine shots from the field and logged four points in 23 minutes. He came off the bench again, and never found his rhythm. Fantasy managers should be excited that Garland's back on the floor, but so far he hasn't looked the same.

Kemba Walker hit 7-of-12 shots, 3-of-5 3-pointers, and 4-of-4 free throws for 21 points, four assists, five rebounds, three steals, and no turnovers in a 141-103 win over the Cavaliers.

Jan 24   9:43 PM

In just 24 minutes, Walker had a ton of production, looking like the player he was pre-injury. A game after knocking down just one 3-pointer in seven tries, he sunk three on five tries, and for the third time in four games this season, he logged three steals.

Terry Rozier went 2-of-10 from the floor and 2-of-3 from the line for seven points over 38 minutes in Sunday's win over the Magic.

Jan 24   9:43 PM

Rozier opened today’s game by bricking his first four shots, and he was nearly scoreless through the first half of action, with his first bucket not coming until late in the second quarter. He did add one 3-pointer, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one turnover while he was out there, but there's no denying that he’s been in a shooting rut over the past two games. Still, he’s still logging heavy minutes, so it shouldn’t be too long until he finds his rhythm again.

LaMelo Ball contributed 11 points (4-of-11 FG, 1-of-1 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and four turnovers in 28 minutes off the bench on Sunday.

Jan 24   9:43 PM

Ball coughed up five turnovers in just 17 minutes of play his last time out, but he did a much better job of taking care of the rock in this one, which allowed him to see his usual minutes. James Borrego has been bringing along LaMelo somewhat slowly his rookie season, so while we’d still expect the No. 3 overall pick to eventually make his way into the starting unit, it’s looking like that might not happen until the second half of the season.

Daniel Theis hit 4-of-6 shots, 1-of-3 3-pointers, and 8-of-8 free throws for 17 points, one assist, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks with no turnovers in a 141-103 win over the Cavaliers.

Jan 24   9:43 PM

Theis's two steals were a season-best, and the eight attempts and makes from the line were by far season-highs. Theis replaced Grant Williams in the starting lineup and outplayed Tristan Thompson and Robert Williams. Maybe he'll stay in the starting group after all. Theis's play is sporadic though, as he ranks No. 178 in 9-cat leagues.

Miles Bridges hit 8-of-11 shots on his way to 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, two 3-pointers, two steals and one turnover in 25 minutes off the bench on Sunday.

Jan 24   9:43 PM

This was a nice bounce-back performance for Bridges after he didn't attempt any shots in his previous outing, and he played a key role in Charlotte outscoring Orlando 25-4 through the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter while they initiated their comeback. P.J. Washington scored nine points on 4-of-8 shooting to go with three rebounds, one assist, one 3-pointer, three steals, two blocks and two turnovers in 32 minutes of floor time.

Austin Rivers (Achilles) is available to play on Sunday night against the Blazers.

Jan 24   8:28 PM

Rivers should slot back into the rotation with Reggie Bullock (neck) ruled out. He hasn't played since January 18th and is coming off back-to-back games without a made shot from the field. With Alec Burks back in the fold, Rivers' fantasy value will drop further.

Marvin Bagley said his sore left wrist is "feeling better."

Jan 24   7:48 PM

The Kings' game vs. Memphis on Sunday was postponed, giving Bagley extra time to rest his wrist. He initially hurt it earlier in the season and said it recently "flared up," though it hasn't cost him any games. He's showing some real-world defensive improvement lately, and is quietly chipping in some blocks to bolster his fantasy value. He's even collected a pair of double-doubles in the past week, so patient fantasy managers are starting to see some returns on their draft-day investment.

Raul Neto (groin) has been ruled out on Sunday vs the San Antonio Spurs.

Jan 24   7:12 PM

Neto recently injured his groin in practice, yes, we're talking about practice and will miss tonight's contest vs the Spurs. The Wizards are playing for the first time since Jan. 11 after having six games postponed and also get Russell Westbrook (quad) back tonight, though he'll be on a minutes restriction. Jerome Robinson and Isaac Bonga could be in for big major minutes if you're desperate and feeling lucky.

Daniel Theis will move into the Celtics' starting lineup on Sunday, shifting Grant Williams to the bench.

Jan 24   7:12 PM

The Celtics didn't have much luck slowing down Joel Embiid in their past two games, both losses, but they're going bigger tonight vs. Andre Drummond and the Cavs. Theis' minutes tend to be modest even as a starter, especially with Tristan Thompson and Robert Williams both active, so he doesn't offer much upside.

Lu Dort cooled off on Sunday with four points on 2-of-10 shooting, including a 0-of-6 mark from downtown.

Jan 24   7:12 PM

Dort added one rebound, three assists, one steal and one turnover in 31 minutes of action. He'll live and die by the 3-pointer offensively, with 56.9% of his shot attempts coming behind the arc this season. That's great when he's hitting them, as he did the past three games with averages of 20.0 points and 3.3 triples on 41.7%. Just take tonight's off-shooting night in stride, and keep him active for OKC's upcoming three-game week.
